On Carnival cruises, New Year's cruises are highlighted by a huge party on Lido Deck, and most lounges have live music. At about 11:30 PM, a formal countdown begins throughout the ship and roaming waiters serve champagne. There are complimentary noisemakers, hats, and party favors.
